By downloading, installing, or using Pocket Places ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Pocket Places allows you to save places by sharing links from social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Here's how this feature works:
Social media platforms have their own terms of service. While we believe extracting location information for personal use is reasonable, we make no guarantees about how platforms may interpret their terms. You use this feature at your own discretion.
Some saved places show a "Things to do here" row of bookable tours and experiences supplied by Viator. These listings are Viator's content, matched to the place you saved.
We do not sell, operate, or arrange any experience. Tapping a listing takes you to Viator's website, and any booking you make there is an agreement between you and Viator and the operator running the experience. We are not a party to it. Viator's own terms and privacy policy govern that booking, including payment, changes, cancellations, and refunds.
Prices, durations, ratings, and availability come from Viator and are shown as they were when we last retrieved them. They can change at any time, and a listing you open while offline may be out of date. Confirm the current details on Viator before you book.
We earn a commission when you book an experience after tapping through from the App. This costs you nothing extra. We do not select or rank experiences by what we might earn from them.
A saved hotel or other place to stay shows a "Book" link. It goes through Stay22, an affiliate service, which opens that place on a booking site — Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia or another — chosen for you at the moment you tap. Everything above applies in the same way: we are not the seller, the booking site's own terms and privacy policy govern any booking you make there, and we earn a commission on a booking made after tapping through, at no extra cost to you. The link is shown for every saved place to stay, never chosen by what we might earn.
Pocket Places Plus is an optional paid subscription. The App is free to use without it, and everything you have already saved stays available whether or not you subscribe. Plus raises the monthly limit on saving places from shared links, removes the cap on how many of your lists can add matching spots on their own, and raises the allowance for saving places imported in bulk from a Google Maps list or an export file — which the free plan also has, as a smaller total for the life of the account. Plus raises these allowances rather than removing them: fair-use ceilings still apply, so that one subscription cannot cost us an unbounded amount in the place data behind each import. The free plan's remaining allowances are shown on the "Your plan" screen in the App.
Plus is offered as a monthly subscription and as an annual one. The price of each is shown in the App before you buy, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase. We do not receive or store your card details.
Both subscriptions renew automatically. Your account is charged for the next period within 24 hours before the current period ends, unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before that. Renewals are charged at the price in effect at the time, and we will tell you before a price change applies to you.
You manage Plus in your Apple or Google account settings rather than in the App:
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Plus until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancel before you leave. Neither deleting the App nor deleting your Pocket Places account cancels a subscription — a subscription is held by Apple or Google rather than by us, so it keeps renewing and charging you after the account is gone. Cancel in the store first, then delete.
Apple and Google take the payment, so refunds are requested through them rather than from us:
We do not refund part of a period that has already begun, except where the law where you live requires it.
Your places, lists, trips and passport stay exactly as they are. The allowances return to those of the free plan, so the features Plus raised are limited again until you subscribe once more. Nothing you have saved is deleted because a subscription ended.
We may change what Plus includes, what it costs, or what the free plan allows.
A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for: Apple and Google apply it from your next renewal, and ask for your agreement where their rules require it.
A change to the allowances can apply to everyone from the day it is released, including a subscription already running — we do not currently hold a separate set of allowances per subscriber. We will tell you before making one that lowers what your plan includes, and cancelling before your next renewal is how you decline it.
The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding user content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our written permission.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, if any.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through the Account settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if eligible.
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Our failure to enforce any right does not waive our right to do so in the future.
You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
